ന്യൂഡൽഹി: പ്രശസ്​ത ട്രാൻസ്​ജെൻഡർ ജേർണലിസ്റ്റും പൊതുപ്രവർത്തകയുമായ അപ്​സര റെഡ്ഡിയെ മഹിളാ കോൺഗ്രസ്​ ദേശീയ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറിയായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. കോൺഗ്രസ്​ അധ്യക്ഷൻ രാഹുൽ ഗാന്ധിയാണ്​ ചരിത്രപരമായ തീരുമാനത്തിന്​ പിന്നിൽ. ആദ്യമായാണ്​ മഹിളാ കോൺഗ്രസ്​ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറിയായി ഒരു ട്രാൻസ്​ജെൻഡറിനെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നത്​.
