Srinagar Militants on Sunday attacked an army vehicle in south Kashmir's Shopian district triggering a cordon and search operation in the volatile area. Reports said that militants attacked the army party and attempted to blow up a bulletproof army vehicle Improvise Explosive Device (IED) followed by firing at Heff village in Shopian district of south Kashmir. The security forces cordoned off the area and manhunt was launched to nab the attackers. This is second such attack in the area in a month's time. Last month an armoured vehicle was attacked in Chitragam village of the region. In another incident, at least nine persons sustained burn injuries after massive fire engulfed a commercial complex in north Kashmir's Uri tehsil in Baramulla district.
