Chandy doesn’t have party support, says Pinarayi Vijayan

Thiruvananthapuram: Taking a dig at Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who is under fire from the party for calling in Central force to handle the indefinite siege of the secretariat by the LDF, CPI-M State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said that the chief minister was not having the support of even the party leaders.

Vijayan was talking to the pressmen after visiting the eateries set up at Jagathi for the party activists expected to arrive here Monday to take part in the protest.

“Congress spokesperson M M Hassan said that the CRPF was called in without the knowledge of the KPCC. The UDF allies have too expressed their dissatisfaction over Oommen Chandy’s handling of the protest,” said Vijayan adding the only option left to the chief minister now was to resign from the post and face investigation.
